Don’t Wait on Relines and Repairs
Broken, worn, or ill-fitting dentures don’t always have to be replaced with a new set. In fact, our denturist can assess your dentures just need a rebase, reline, or repair.
Rebases
If your denture teeth are in good shape, our denturist may suggest rebasing. It is a process of replacing the entire acrylic denture base with new acrylic, providing a stable denture without replacing the denture teeth.
Relines
Relines are required when tissue change from resorption (shrinkage) of the jaw. This can be due to:
Weightloss
Tooth loss
Bone loss
Ageing
Disease or illness
Relines add new base material to the tissue side of your denture so it fits properly again. Frank will need to take an impression inside your existing denture in order to ensure your fit is correct after the reline. Don’t worry – relining affects only the fit of your denture and will not change the appearance.

One or more teeth need to be added to your existing partial denture following tooth extraction
In most cases of broken or cracked dentures, your denturist can restore them to their original state. Most repairs can be easily done in one day. However, if your dentures do require a repair, it may be indicative of underlying problems like such as poor fit, worn teeth or just the overall age of your dentures. After the repairs are completed, our denturist will go over ways you can avoid further breakage in the future.
