Don’t Wait on Relines and Repairs
Broken, worn or ill-fitting dentures don’t always have to be replaced with a new set. In fact, a trip to our office in Hamilton and our denturist can assess if your dentures just need a rebase, reline or repair.
If your denture teeth have not worn out in comparison to the denture base material, our denturist will probably chose rebasing. It is a process of retrofitting dentures by replacing the entire acrylic denture base with new acrylic, providing a table denture without replacing the denture teeth.
Relines are required when tissue change from resorption (shrinkage) of the jaw. This can be due to:

In most cases of broken or cracked dentures, your Hamilton denturist can restore them to their original state. Most repairs can be easily done in one day. However, if your dentures do require a repair, it may be indicative of underlying problems like poor fit, worn teeth or just overall age of the dentures. After the repairs are completed, our denturist will go over ways you can avoid further breakage in the future.
